He worked for his father after school, on weekends and during his summer breaks. Julian admired his father’s determination and drive. His father built long term relationships and satisfied customers with hard work and skill. His one man shop succeeded for many years. His father’s company, Carrizal Painting, to this day is known, remembered and respected in the construction industry.
Working for his father Julian realized that the construction industry was his future and decided to open his own business: in 1999, Julian registered his sole proprietorship: Julian Carrizal, dba Julian Carrizal General Construction. He remembers doing so “with only one credit card and my truck.” As a sole proprietor, he built relationships and promoted his company’s statement of qualifications and skills. He offered and delivered personal, friendly, trustworthy and professional projects to all his clients.
With the success of his sole proprietorship, Julian realized his next step was to expand by incorporating his business. In July of 2013, J. Carrizal General Construction, Inc. was officially launched. J. Carrizal General Construction, Inc. is now a successful 8(a) Certified, Small Disadvantaged Business, DBE TxDOT, DBE NMDOT Certified Corporation.
Carrizal General Construction, Inc. is headquartered at 1070 Diesel, El Paso, Texas The corporate office is a 4,000 square foot building which Julian designed and built along with his skilled employees. This office houses the Corporation’s administrative offices, workshop, a fleet of 12 vehicles, as well as the company’s heavy equipment which include: skid steers, backhoes, dump trucks, service trucks and water trucks etc. In March of 2016, due to J. Carrizal Construction, Inc.’s success a 2,000 square foot addition was added to their headquarters.
Our satellite office located in New Mexico at 22 Comanchero Trail Tularosa, NM 88352 (575)585-3510 was opened in 2014. J. Carrizal General Construction Inc.’s knowledgeable an experienced management team can be reached at either location.
Julian is humbled by his accomplishments and extremely grateful to his Wife, Daughter, Family, Staff, Friends, Clients and Vendor’s who all combined helped him realize his dream. Julian is married to Norma who is an integral part of his management team. They have a daughter and enjoy their time in their “home-away-from-home” in Tularosa, NM.
